3rd BBQ Cookout @ Reagan National Oct. 7
Who: DMV acuraziner's and others
What: BBQ cookout/meet n' greet
Where: Reagan National Airport . ( ppl are meeting at DnB white flint and can caravan together from there . Please be there between 10:30AM-11AM )
When: October 7th, 2012
Why: Because I said so
( scott's idea (Slvrac08) )
So Scott brought it up that its been a while since we had an "az meet", so we came upon setting up this meet. So to keep things simple n clean here is what's exspected:

- Each person please bring at least something with them so we will have enough to feed everyone.
- We can play some football, take photos and enjoy the scenary
- Afterwards, we can hit up hooters for some chicken n beer ( we'll decide on location on the spot then )

where exactly are you guys trying to meet? gravelly point? i dont' know of any other places around the airport unless you're thinking of the former toxic waste burial site in crystal city near the airport (all the new arlington parks/fields).

Tltrigirl, you are right it is gravelly point. Last year we had a really good turnout of about 30+. It was a lot of fun and we took a lot of photos w/the planes flyin right over and all.

^^it's not AT the airport. it's at the park adjacent to it (just north of it to be exact).
navi's should have "gravelly point park" in it as a point of interest.

Holy bat smokes! I can go! It aint a half bad drive either. Sweet. Count me in. So for food type stuff, should we make a list and say i'll bring x amout of hot dogs or chips and salsa or what?

Hey guys sorry had a lonnnnng week! Anyhow it is the gravelly point park right before u hit the airport coming from the gw parkway. Aaron and the Baltimore guys we are meeting at dave and busters at white flint mall in rockville anywhere between 1030 to 1130 and its on your way so u guys can just meet us their then we can all follow cause its a straight shot how would that sound?

^^the parking lot at gravelly point is pretty straight forward. it's not huge by any sense of the imagination nor is it tiny. and it's not a huge park like great falls. gravelly point is a parking lot and a giant grass field with the mt vernon trail passing through it. if the weekend is nice expect there to be a lot of people on the mt. vernon trail as well as people visiting the park to airplane watch. current forecast is 30% chance of showers and cloudy all day. of course we all know that this can change in a matter of a few hours.

i'm busy all day saturday, so sunday is the only time i have for myself and i'd rather be at home drinking a beer watching the ravens stomp the chiefs.
if the weather improves, i'll come out for a little while tho. it'd be nice to see some familiar faces.

yeah if we have to reschedule that is fine with me. nothing worse than cleaning your car and going to a meet and having it rain.
