3rd Annual Great Falls Meet 1/15/11 VA/MD/NC Lets do it!!!
 

Well its that time of the year again!! Time to kick off the year with a bang with the 3rd Annual Great Falls Meet :woot:

First off YES i know its in Janurary and YES i know it will be cold but to be honest there is no telling with VA weather...it could be in the 40's or the 70's:dunno: Last year it was chilly and there was snow on the ground but the roads were in great condition. At this point its a shot in the dark on the weather so just incase we have a snow storm or its raining the Rain/Snow reschedule date will be Feb 19th

Last year was very successful as we had 30+ cars and almost 50 people attending so we did run into some unexpected things as which a big unorganized group would have. Im going to do my best to correct some of that but I am only 1 person who lives 3 hours away so ANY help from the locals would be great.

We will meet at the same time and place at Dave and Busters http://www.daveandbusters.com/ located at 11301 Rockville pike Kensington , MD 20895 anytime after 11am.

They open at 1130 so I figure after all the meet and greets we should roll in there about noon or so. We need to call ahead to D&B and get that big ass area reserved instead of us being spreadout like last time. Obviously EVERYONE is interested in different things at D&B..some wanna just east, some wanna play games, and some just wanna chill. I figure about 1-130 we will start to head out to Great Falls....NOW COMES THE TRICKY PART

Since we wont be the only ones out on the road that day its gonna be impossible to keep everyone together and know who is left behind. Last year Melvin and Myself came up with the idea of having everyone leave in colors because A) it looks cool and. B) It makes it easier to set up at the park. C) if the NBP's are last to leave and we dont see any behind is then its safe to say we have stragglers.... Anyways

The 495 Capitol Beltway will be a good place to catch back up with those lost to stoplights after leaving D&B's so if we could keep it under 90 (MELVIN..haha inside story) then we should create our huge caravan.

Off 495 we will be turning onto Georgetown Pike which IMO is a very beautiful senic road with nice turns. Via google maps I found a place that would be great to capture take a video of everyone passing a curve so we can profile everyone oncoming, the turn (sideshot)n and them accelerating out of the turn or exhaust or whatever.

Then we turn onto Old Dominion Rd to the park entrance. 9200 old odminion dr Mclean , Va. There the park will charge $5 per car and not sure about if passengers are free, but I think they might be $1 if at all. I will look into reserving that first lot on the right so that we wont have any BS cars in the way.

Then after that its whatever!! I regret that I missed the group shot with the members and the Falls in the background. Im not you guys momma but I would really like to get EVERYONE in there.

like i said im 1 person so any ideas or help is appreciated. i would like to see all OLD and ESPECIALLY NEW Faces there!! What a way to kick off the year meet the faces being the screen names and avatars and show off those New Xmas Mods :thumbsup:

Caravans will be worked out later so Richmond/DC/NC/MD guys work that out.

I might look into making the trip. I'm off that weekend in January and if I could find some other NC members heading up that might make it better. I'll talk it over with the wife since it looks to be a 5 & 1/2 hour trip from Greensboro. I will keep ya posted though

Wow looking pretty good guys! We still have over 60 days till the meet but it looks like its gonna be a monster!

Thanks for the clean up guys and if anyone comes up with any ideas please feel free to comment. I know the "can we invite any crews" question will come up and for now NOT YET because we don't wanna make it too too big where we out grow the lot in the park. A buddy here and there no prob but not an entire crew yet.

Glad to see we might have a DE member coming that's great!! Spread the word and soon we will start planning caravans.

Maybe we should get acurazine t-shirts made for this meet? Idk just throwin something out there..

I am glad you decided to schedule the great falls meet earlie. The more organize the better. I have one suggestion to the location. We have been to the Great falls VA side why not try the Great falls MD side.

I got a 20G Xbox 360 that I've been trying to sell if anyone wants it for $100. I'll even throw in forza 3 and a wireless controller with the play and charge kit. The xbox has been boxed up for about two months now and I've owned it since like june/july. If anyone wants to pick it up the day of the meet lemme know.

Eric here is another IdeaWe get all colors together and we vote for the best car of each color and once we voted for all the colors we get the winners of each color and we have them stage up and we make them the cover for the picture thread like the first photo on the 1st annual Great falls meet.

Actually that would be cool if we can get all colors in a group shot. I really hope we can get a DMM out there. We had 2 RRP's last year but year that would be cool :thumbsup:
