I am selling a very rare 1997 Acura CL with a full JDM H22A swap & auto to manual swap - ADULT OWNED NEVER RACED. The motor has roughly 125,000 miles on it and the chassis has a little more than 161,000 miles on it. I bought this car back in 2000 as a graduation present to myself. I am the second owner. This car was an on going project throughout the years but I never obtained the money to really do what I wanted to do. When the swap was performed back in 2004, I replaced all belts, hoses and water pump. Since then I put roughly 60,000 miles on the motor. This motor is extremely strong in its stock form (Vtec is pulls strong around 5200 RPMs). I only went with bolt on mods to preserve the longevity of the motor (See list below). The car has been extremely reliable and oil changes were every 3,000 using Castrol 10w-30. The car is drivable but my mechanic told me it will need a knock sensor (Hence the Mil light coming on in the upper RPM range, which has no effect on the power). The car starts up fine and drives fine. I installed a Field VTEC controller to control Vtec and Air/Fuel, but I did not like how the car ran, so I disconnected those wires and used it as a digital RPM gauge and shift indicator (you can set shift points and it will beep). The car is a fun car to drive, but unfortunately I must sell due to baby and new house. If you are into imports and want to shock your friends, this is a true sleeper. In the right hands, this car is capable of whatever the owner decides to spend. I have all paperwork, all documentation, clean title you name it. With some TLC, this car will be a monster! Tell me about it, I remember the all the hype with this setup and I thought someone would have jumped all over this by now but maybe things have changed. I don't know but this motor is a monster!! The things that can be done to this thing are endless!! My loss someone gain.
