I just wanna know how you paid it off in 2 years?! Sweet car, buying a home is a good move. I'm a realtor so if you are a first time buyer you may not need as much down as you think, especially with the 1st Time Buyer Tax Credit. Talk to your local lender or I have a contact in Iowa.

Im not looking to buy for ATLEAST another year but I figure I should sell the car now before I keep modding it. Well thanks to dad the car was paid for originally and I make monthly payments to him, but in theory its "paid off" becuase we have the title and if I sell it it just pays him off what i owe. As far as the downpayment for a house, my definition of downpayment is different then other peoples... Im looking at putting down around 50% and financing the rest.

Nice dad! I understand now. With dropping home prices and the feds no longer buying back bad assets & mortgage backed securities from banks as of March 2010 interest rates are expected to go up, then market will slow down. The 2nd wave of foreclosures has not even hit yet. Personally I recommend a 20% downpayment (to avoid PMI) on a distressed home & using the rest for repairs/sweat equity. Do you have a realtor or lender out there?

I have a house lined up, a lady that I work with is wanting to sell her house here within the next few years to move into her sick moms house to take care of her. As far as a lender... dad!! (dont get me wrong i am not spoiler or rich. My dad is a high school teacher who has just made good investments throughout the years and he loves his kids more than anything) So APR and forclosures dont really mean much to me since i am privately financed and have a house lined up.

Nice. Good luck, now is the time to buy regardless. Even if your dad is the lender you can still get the first time buyer 8Gs.

haha, i would be willing to talk a lower price with a trade. I will need another car to get around, so $20K plus a good valued car might be considerable.

I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP supercharged and fully loaded (well, better speakers than the premium speakers lol) with 97K miles to trade plus cash obviously. Kenwood headunit, projector headlights, halo foglights, intake, and speakers + sub are only mods.
