2003 Acura CLS 6-SPEED White on Black With NAVI --- 1 of 15, Trumbull, Connecticut
1. Price:14450
2. Mileage:59,XXX
3. Color, Transmission-auto or manual, Navi? Taffeta White on Ebony Interior, 6 Speed, Navigation -- 1 of 15 ever produced.
4. Reason for selling: In the market for an SUV
5. Location: Trumbull, CT 06611
6. Pictures: See Below
7. Are you the first owner? Second owner
8. Title information: Title currently held by Navy Federal Credit Union
9. VIN: PM if interested
10. Modifications:
TL shift knob
Ksport adjustable coilovers 10/7 spring rate, ingalls camber kits both front and rear installed by excelerate, XS power headers with new OEM gaskets and new OEM rings, grade 8 hardware (bolts nuts washers) installed by private local shop. suspension and camber kits have less than 10k miles on them
R1 Concepts drilled/slotted rotors front and rear, bosch brake pads front and rear --- rotors are straight, rotors and pads have less than 5k miles on them.
20% tint all around.
Will include stock headers and shocks in case new owner wants to return to stock.
12. If leased, provide details, such as length of lease, payoff amount, etc. -- Currently financed through NFCU, payoff amount is equal to or less than $3,000... Would like to have title in hand to sell, however i can not do this without waiting at least a month for the title to be updated. Buyer would have to accompany me to bank to transfer title into their name. I wouldnt want to delay a possible sale for a title being processed/updated.
11. Service record: Have kept all records since my personal ownership of vehicle. They are filed away, but interested parties are welcome to view them, and buyer is welcome to take them. I may be missing a reciept or two (i.e... things like the TL shift knob i purchased, possibly the headers etc..), however most the things i purchased were online and i should have email reference/documentation if the buyer feels its a necessity.
To my immediate recollection the car has been into service for the following--
Both driver and passenger headlamps have been replaced due to common fogging.
Air conditioner components have been replaced after hearing a clunk upon engagement, if i remember correctly it was either a belt or the entire compressor that was replaced... original thread HERE
My own maintenance has included oil changes, royal purple synthetic, every 4000-5000 miles.
Transmission flush/change at 50k miles, converted to syncromesh.
Seafoamed @ 48k miles (estimate)
Still have a few bottles of royal purple and syncromesh MTF that the buyer is welcome to take.
Lifetime alignment purchased at firestone, car is regularly aligned 3 times a year (have records), no problems to report - car drives true and straight and at current ride height falls within factory camber/toe/alignment specs.
AcuraCARE extended warranty coverage until 96k or 99k miles and i beleive until may of 2011 or 2012 --- will have to confirm with records. 100% transferable to next owner.
Car is washed, polished and waxed regularly, nothing too special here, just meguiars products, light polish, wax, and wash.
The car had a minor hit from the previous owner... I do have pictures for prospective buyers to view, unfortunately nothing digital that im able to post. If you come look at the car i will gladly show them to you. Basically, the acura was parked (i.e. not moving) and another car coasted into the fender at an angle. This wasnt a head on collision, the car wasnt going 30mph straight into the acura. Had i seen this as anything other thing than minor i would not have bought the car.
Wheels: Great condition, 3 are a solid 9.5 out of 10, NO CURB MARKS.... One wheel (pictured in detal below) has had a very faint brush against the curb, but if you see the pictures it is very minor.
My ONLY definition of perfect and mint is a brand new showroom vehicle that hasnt ever been driven... I can say this car is above the so called "excellent" condition you see advertised elsewhere. I am extremely careful and extremely meticulous, there are no dents, no parking lot dings, no tears, no rips, and no stains commonly seen on cars in "excellent" condition, with the exception that this is a lowered car and as such has been subject to two or three (literally, more than one but not over three) scrapes on the bottom of the bumper and the mudflaps, they can be easily concealed with a tube of touch up paint, cannot be seen unless you are under the car, see pictures below. Also keep in mind that as careful as i am i could not prevent the occasional stone chip on the front of the car, though i will say they are few and far between.... This car comes with two sets of keys and fobs, owners manual, cargo net, floormats, jack, spare etc... everything it should come with.
During my ownership this car was in a heated garage when it wasnt being driven and garaged (not driven) throughout the winter. I could say i havent driven it in the rain but id be lying.
93 octane always used, hwy mpg has been a consistent 29.xx miles per gallon, and mixed city/hwy has never been under 20mpg ---
I searched far and wide for this particular car, i wasnt going to settle for something i wasnt totally in love with --- i drove to the tristate area over a half dozen times to look at "excellent" cars that when i got there had curbed wheels, dents/scratches, 5 different owners etc... I spoke to dozens of people who just wasted my time on their definition of a mint vehicle... fast forward 6 months and i found this car, Im not afriad to say i paid for what i wanted... a low mileage, excellent cond, one owner, white on black(was also in for anthracite, but couldnt find one), and was still under warranty. I am looking for a buyer who appreciates the same types of things, so please no tire kickers. I am relatively firm on the price, would consider dropping it down a bit if someone wanted me to remove the Ksports and camber kits.
Also will consider trades of vehicles, preferably a late model SUV.

BEAUTIFUL car.....
honestly, thats not a wild asking price... i just bought an 03 CL-S... it had 65k... the dealership was ASKING $13.... this was a non-navi ssm 5AT
so $14.5k is a fair ASKING price, what ever negotions are done behind closed doors is something else
bump for a SWEET CL-S.. i almost want to buy this as a second car

dampening is adjusted by turning the knobs located in the engine bay and behind the rear seat clockwise or counter-clockwise
ride height is adjusted on the coilover itself by using the key and turning the "lock nuts" for lack of a better word, to raise or lower the vehicle

i think this is the car... i have been looking for this model that is extremely clean and not totally riced out for so long. You are about 1400 miles away from me. Would you have a problem shipping the car to Dallas, TX? I have a DAS terminal about 10 miles from the house.

yea I am Doug... If you replied I must have already deleted it while deleting spam folder. I wasn't expecting it or I would have been looking for it. I assumed the car was already sold. I'll check my work computer when I get in the office in the morning. Like I mentioned in the email I am refinancing my home to a 15 year note to take advantage of the awesome rates available now. My mortgage broker said I'd have to wait on purchasing a car until I close or it could cause delays and cost me more money to close. I had called you a few times but I just realized I had you in my phone as 213 not 203 area code. lol If it is not to much trouble resend the email and I will get it when I'm in the office. Thanks, Doug
