1988 Civic Hatchback Shell W/ Complete Interior
1. Price: $500 OBO
2. Mileage: ~150k on the chassis
3. Color, Transmission-auto or manual, Navi? Superior Blue Metallic, none and none.
4. Reason for selling: One too many cars in the driveway.
5. Location: Richmond, VA
6. Pictures: See below.
7. Are you the first owner? Fourth, I believe.
8. Title information: Clean title, in my possesion.
9. VIN (would be nice to have but I can understand that some people do not want to publicly post this): Please PM me for VIN
10. Modifications: Weight reduction (removed the engine and tranny ) The paint was stripped in the engine bay as I was in the process of shaving the bay and respraying it. The bay as surface rust on it due to the lack of paint. I have paint for it.
11. Service record: I know what I did to the car, and every owner of the car is a friend of the family.
12. If leased, provide details, such as length of lease, payoff amount, etc. Have title.
Alittle background info on the car: It's a 1988 Honda Civic Standard Hatchback. Originally came with a 1.5l 4 speed manual. It was purchased in Nov 88 by my friend. A few years later he sold it to his cousin, who sold it to my brother in 2000(or 2001) who sold it to me in 2005. I was in the process of swapping in a GSR motor when I picked up a 1990 Hatch with a rollcage in it. The interior is complete and has an Si gauge cluster installed with IIRC 161k on the clock. The interior is blue with super awesome vinyl seats. The car was never smoked in, and was never in an accident. It has a newish windshield and all brand new weatherstripping. The hinges on the rear windows have been replaced. The outer tie rods have been replaced. I have Si front knuckles on it (makes it easier to get axles). The paint is pretty damn mint for a 20 year old car. Has all body panels. Headlights are mint. Has new carpet. Will have eBay coilovers on it. The bumpers were recently repainted. Has a VW front lip installed.
The Bad:
The car has two small rust spots, one on each rear wheel arch. The car won't have the wiring harness, taillights, possibly the pedal assembly and side view mirrors. Some dings and scratches here and there. No corner lights. Missing brake booster and prop valve.
Pictures:
Those pictures are old, but the body of the car hasn't changed at all. The last picture shows the old D15B and black engine bay.
I've got a bunch of extra parts that will go with the car when it's sold. You could easily pick up an engine and get 40mpgs.
