Trader ratings information

The Trader Ratings program has been reactivated, with some minor changes. These are explained below in the "HOW TO AWARD TRADER RATINGS" section.

If you have any problem awarding ratings, let me know. The program is supposed to work as it always has.

HOW TO AWARD TRADER RATINGS

Go to the thread in the Marketplace where the transaction took place. There is no way to award a rating without a thread link.

As far as I can determine, it is not necessary for the person giving the rating to have posted in the thread, but the person getting the feedback must have posted in the thread you are linking to, or the input will not be accepted.

You can only give trader ratings, or access the Trader Ratings page, in threads that originate in the Marketplace. Any attempt to award a rating in other forums will result in the dreaded "The deal URL is invalid!" notice. If anyone successfully awards a rating in another forum, please send me a PM.

To access the Trader Ratings page, click on the number in (X) following the Trader Ratings line under the user name of the person you want to award the rating to.

If there is no Trader Rating information shown in the profile, it means the person has not yet been awarded any ratings. In this case, click on their User Name and the drop down menu will appear. Click on the bottom entry: View iTrader Profile. When you get the profile, click on "Submit Feedback For Soandso" and fill in the form.

IMPORTANT: When awarding a rating and posting the link, remove the forum part (WWW, TL, etc) from the URL. It should should be posted like this: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=XXXXXX (You must include "http://" )

SUPER IMPORTANT: Unlike the old Traders Feedback Thread which showed both positive and negative feedback, the Trader Ratings will show the net amount, so if a trader has a positive 1 and a negative 1, it will show zero. This means you should always check the ratings, if you have any doubts, to get the full picture.

GENERAL INFORMATION

As you might have figured out by now, you are limited to 3 ratings per day.

The original Traders Feedback List thread is closed, and all postings have been updated. If you are going through and posting ratings that have already been posted in the Traders Feedback List, you might want to cut back on that. I'm not saying it's not allowed, but think about it and you will see it's kind of repetitious.

The ratings from the Traders Feedback List cannot be computer transferred to the Trader Ratings, and doing it manually is not practical and is definitely not being considered, so be sure to check both places if you want the full story.

I have no objection to awarding a rating that's deserved, and I know it's tempting to play with the new option, just like you probably did when reputation points were able to be awarded, but we would like to keep this thing semi-honest, if possible.

Try and limit your ratings to new things you actually buy, sell or trade, or to recent transactions that you never posted in the Traders Feedback List, which is the way the game is supposed to work.

FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.

Click here for the original Traders Feedback List, which can be used as a supplement to the new ratings information.

THESE RATINGS WILL NOT BE TRANSFERRED TO THE NEW TRADER RATINGS FORMAT.
