Description:

Deciding to test the waters on selling my 2008 Acura TL Type S in Alabaster Silver Metallic. I am a true Acura enthusiast and taken care of this car like it is my child!! It is automatic and has the ebony/silver two tone interior. The car is mint. The pictures speak for themselves. The car has a clean Illinois title and is free of any accidents or damage.

Recent service includes:
- Timing belt service (coolant, water pump, timing belt)
- Oil change
- Full detail

The car needs absolutely nothing. ALL service was always done at Acura from day one. I have a whole folder full of service records and a full carfax for serious buyers. I am in NO rush to sell and I am confident that everyone here in the Acurazine community knows the value of this car, especially finding one with crazy low miles. I am looking to sell it to a fellow Acura enthusiast who will take care of her.

Not to be a party pooper, but I'm thinking thirteen to fourteen is pretty much the upper limit for your car.

Why not jump on those offers instead of fishing for a little bit more? 17+ is a great offer for what it is. All it is, is a low mileage TL-S. No rare color or 6mt. Very clean car though!

Didn’t realize so many users here enjoy fishing for drama! Yikes. It’s a clean car, speaks for itself. The length of ownership doesn’t determine any “problems.” My reasons for selling are just that, my own reasons lol! The ad clearly states I’m not in a rush and just testing the waters. Seems you guys all convenetiently forgot that when you started posting your negativity. If you are not the market for purchasing a car, please quit wasting your time in posting on this thread. And keep your opinions to yourself! I can ask $100k if I wanted..why should that concern anyone on here?

It's the Mod's job to make sure other potential offerors don't get scammed or hosed. They are asking the right questions, especially from someone who has nine posts as of today at 6pm.

Clean car. I hope you get what you're asking!

Providing more insight as to what "your own reasons" are may help put us at ease. We are asking these questions in order to protect potential buyers, who have been members on this site for much longer than you. For someone in your position, meaning very new to this site, to post his vehicle right after posting how he has many future plans for it, has a right to be asked questions. Heck, if I was asking 19k for a 10-11 year old car, I would happily answer any and all questions in order to help the sale go smoother.

GLWS, but your not getting 19k for an auto in silver LOL

So when someone posts content which should serve as a reality check it is suddenly "negativity"?

While I usually applaud folks for starting high and then reducing the price to a more realistic value, your ask is not only high, it is stratospheric. Think about it this way, if you had an otherwise identical car but with a manual transmission, you *might* be able to fetch $16,000 to $17,000, no chance of getting it up to $19,000. Since your car is an automatic, you can probably leave the ad up for a year and never get offered more than $14,000. Like I wrote before, if someone has genuinely offered you $17,000, take the money and run, you did good.

I have absolutely no problem answering questions about my vehicle, it is only obvious that buyers would have questions and I encourage them! But to angle it the way some of you are on here? That is personally attacking. There is such a thing as having "netiquette" and politely asking questions. Case in point, user Ron A. asked me to post more pictures and asked how many previous owners the vehicle had. I answered in a timely manner and provided him with an honest answer. Users on here are not five years old! No one is trying to "scam" anyone on here. If they have serious inquiries, I am more than happy to answer them! Some of you on this thread (you know who you are ) are insinuating that I am hiding something with the vehicle or not sharing any "problems" with it. It really is amusing to me! And once again, you guys have an opinion about the pricing, and well..you know what they say about opinions .You don't think my car is worth that much? Wonderful! Move on, have a wonderful day and stop creating a terrible impression of my ad.

Your lack of transparency is what led to the 'suspicions'. Your unwillingness to answer just compounds the problem.

But that's just my opinion

Please, tell me where I was unwilling? How was I not transparent? I wrote key details about my vehicle, anything beyond that I am more than happy to answer. But personally knocking the vehicle, color, miles, transmission, etc doesn’t make sense.

I think most folks are shaking their head on your comment folks have offered you $17,000; if someone who actually had the cash offered that much money then they haven't shopped around. Personally, I'm calling shenanigans on the claim of a $17,000 offer, and that doesn't help your credibility.

User Ron A is actually Administrator Ron A and I moderate this forum.

Now you are going to say: why don't you do your job and moderate?

I am doing my job and I agree with all of the above. Your resistance to providing a reason for selling enforces my decision. BTW, why are you selling?

You should post those pictures as soon as possible.

Again, throwing shade. My oh my! You wanna know how many owners? Just ask!! But then again, you’re not seriously looking for a car..just wasting everyone’s time so I wouldn’t expect that from you.
