2003 Acura TL Type-S w/Nav in Anthracite Gray with Black interior. Located in Dutchess County NY.
I'm selling this car because in no longer works for my family life. I purchased it when I was single as a second car only to be driven in the best weather conditions on weekends. Now with the kids getting older, it no longer works well for their activities with large gear bags. As much as it pains me to admit it, I need an SUV to accommodate my family life and will be forced to part ways with my baby. It is a front wheel drive car with plenty of power even by today's standards. It has amazing gas mileage for a vehicle of its size and power (3.2L V6 with 260+ HP). I have gotten as high as 29mpg over the years and average 24-25mpg each fill. It has been everything I always wanted in a powerful sedan that is ultra-reliable yet I could tastefully mod and have fun with. To this day I still get compliments at a light or walking to/from the car. It has been so much fun to own this car and I hope another car enthusiast can experience the same when I sell it.
Details:
- Original owner. Bought new Aug 2003.
- Garage kept since day one.
- Used as a weekend car until 2017. Prior to 2017 this car was never taken out in the rain, snow or during the winter months.
- 69,509 miles (still a baby)
- Diligent maintenance performed at dealership.
- Interior is in excellent condition. Driver seat is the only one that shows any sign of wear and it still looks great.
- Everything works on the car, such as heating and AC.
- Clean title, no accidents, no repair work
Modifications:
- Comptech Exhaust
- Comptech Headers
- Comptech Intake
- Purchased with Factory Bodykit
- Tein Coilover suspension kit with EDFC mounted in the glove box - provides adjustable height and dampening ride at all four corners
- Front Strut bar (I forget the manufacturer, but it is in addition to factory bar)
- FM transmitter / Bluetooth adapter - stream music and take calls through the cars sound system.
- Custom clear bra on front 1/3 of hood, full bumper, side mirrors, side skirts and front fenders
- Custom door sills
The bad (my idea of bad is anything less than perfection):
- Dash has one very small pit that occurred in 2017 when the car started to be used as a daily driver. It annoyed me as a blemish on the car, but I've had to point it out to others. It has not expanded or cracked since.
- Slight scrape on lower driver side of the front lip (mostly clear bra damage).
Future Maintenance:
- Timing belt & water pump should probably be done in 2023, it was last done in 2013.
- Brakes will need to be done in another 5-15k miles (depending on how you drive)
- Wheels & Tires - I will sell the car with the factory wheels that are wrapped in Blizzak rubber for the winter (have < 10k miles with excellent tread). No need to worry about tires for a while.

I just called the dealer and checked that my timing belt and pump were changed June of 2014 @ 36k miles.

Thanks for the comments!! I told my wife I would first list it on my old forum that I started with (when it was known as Acura-TL.com) before I listed it anywhere else. I learned everything about the car from this site before I even got it and then all the great times at the car meets. You guys are true fans of these cars, like myself... and that's who I want to see take it over.

The sale was completed this afternoon. The buyer flew in from the West Coast and will be driving it back with his girlfriend. I hope they have great experience stopping different places along the way (I'm a bit jealous)
