So just a thought here; the mods to your car will significantly reduce its appeal on the market, this in turn will also reduce the amount of money you'll be able to get for it. If you were to return the car back to bone stock you might actually get something near your asking price, then you can sell all of the aftermarket stuff for extra profit. Said another way, with your car all tarted up, I'd be surprised if you are offered much more than ten or eleven thousand for it.

It wasn't "exactly" what you were thinking? You were thinking 9k... Still lower than projected price. Even though the car needs some work it is a low mileage, KBP, 6MT, two-tone. With some TLC this could be a great car for someone to enjoy. Keep your low ball, KBB offers to yourself. I don't know how you could even offer 9k and feel like it was a significant offer that may even be considered, unless the selling is in a bind and having to sell asap which then he wouldn't list for $14,500. Clearly isn't in a rush at the price point for it's current condition.

Good luck with the sale OP. Id suggest cleaning up some loose ends to get top dollar.

Bro take it easy. It's not that serious. if you read my first post I said if he ever would. By which I knew he would never. We all know this color and transmission combination plus mileage will never go for that low.

If you know he will never take the offer why post it? Offers like that tend to rub people the wrong way. I apologize if I came off strong but this gets annoying when trying to sell stuff. Still have to be reasonable with an offer.

I agree, nobody with a type S at this point is going to get low balled. The car is desirable for sure. The mods will definitely lower the resale as people want stock. I traded in my type S (2007) lunar grey with 71K miles just over a year ago (no mods) and its fuzzy but I think the Acura dealer with sales tax benefit gave me 12K on it. It was one owner and as close to perfect as it could be inside and out.with all dealer service and receipts for everything. They sold it in 3 days. I had a private offer for $12500 but was not enough for me to go through the hassle. I wanted to post it on here but did not hit the requirements to place the ad at the time. The dealer did say if it was a manual they would go up another 1K or so on the trade in. I think if the OP puts it back to stock with the miles 12-13k may be possible. Personally if I was looking for one I would want one unmolested from stock. On the flip side two years ago I had someone willing to pay 13,500 for it and they were going to ship it to CA for resale. Miles were barely over 60K at the time. Fantastic car overall.

Oh, an the Kenitic blue is probably the best color of the 07/08 type S. Probably some value there in the color.

You can send a PM if you think there's a chance, and the OP can PM me with a link to this thread if he/she wants this opened and will keep it current.
