Wink My dealer and their crappy excuses....

My '06 Type S is still under warranty and I have serious rattles along the windshield. I have search tons of threads about this and everyone is saying there is a TSB for this and that if your car is under warranty the dealers are fixing it. I took my car in and my dealer told me my car was out of the "adjustment" warranty, yes it has a rattle issue and it will be at a minimum of $100.00 for them to take on this time consuming project. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do before I snap on the service advisor, the service manager, the general manager and the owner....lol. I have only bought 6 cars from them in 4 years.

Is it like that squeak sound as if it were the shocks but it's clearly from inside the cabin? I have that issue on my 03 RSX and it's starting to get to me.

when i had my 2004 RSX, the rubber molding along the windshield (on the outside) got a little dry and would creak as i would go over bumps. i sprayed some lithium grease under it and the problem was solved.

don't know if that's what you're talking about though...

Mine is like a high pitched rattle from the left and right side of the dash right in the areas of the tweeters and also dead center. I did speak with Acura Client Services for clarification on my warranty coverage......they totally are coming through. It is covered and on top of that there is already a TSB for it. Had the service advisor taken the time to look it up before opening his mouth I think everything would be a lot better.

Great news! Everything is fixed! No more rattles, no more creaks, nothing. They had to pull the windshield and place felt strips along the dash. If you are having this problem and are still under warranty....go back to the dealer and get this done. I think it is better than even before the rattle started. It just seems more solid in the dash.
