Two years ago, I bought a 2002 RSX (base model) with 120,000 miles. I had it checked out, it was completely fine.

This March, at 160,000 miles my new mechanic (the other guy moved) said I needed a new catalytic converter. I paid him, he put one in. Then I needed a new front 02 sensor for my new cat. I held off (I don't have a lot of money) until last week.

I went in to SchMOG my RSX and it failed. I paid them to replace the 02 sensor they had recommended, and the C0 emission went up... from .7 after the first fail to 1.0 after the new sensor.

He can't find what's wrong with it. It keeps failing smog and I need to get new tags. The engine runs fine... it's failing smog... rich in C0... help!
I feel like my mechanic messed up and won't admit it. I dunno... any suggestions?
I'm taking it in tomorrow morning and they're going to try an Acura 02 sensor, this time they put a Bosch 02 sensor on... IDK if that will do anything... tell me anything... please... I'm getting really desperate. I LOVE my car and I need it to work.

I would check out .com like the other poster said. This forum is not that active on RSXs. Where you located? I have 2 good acura mechanics in southern CA though.
