H&R with OEM or Aftermarket Shocks
Quick Question..
I have a set of H&R springs for my 2017
i've gone the Tein Springs & OEM for my CSX and it was great - but that was near the end of my lease agreement so never really saw the lifespan of the combo.
what's a good aftermarket shock to pair with the H&R or going with the OEM shock for a daily driver is sufficient?

Hello Neildam,
I have a 2013 2.4L Dynamic (Manual) and had purchased the Tien progressive springs and currently use stock shocks. I think you were wise to go with the H & R springs as the drop in the front is a little less than the Tien's (I think the difference is about 2mm - I have scrapped on the lower portion of the front on a rare occasion in steeper driveways - Also am thinking of installing the WRX STI splitter sitting in my garage, but am worried I won't have the clearance). As for shocks, I would have to say that will all depend on you. I have kids and do use this vehicle as a daily driver, I wanted to drop the car a little to get rid of the huge wheel well gap and provide a bit better handling. I find getting better tread and the springs are enough for me (although that being said I also do have the stock thicker SI sway bar sitting in my garage waiting for me to install it for less rear roll).
In either case good luck to you!

Post some pics and results when you complete the install. I have only been able to find KYB replacements for shocks that claim they are higher performance. How well will they pair with lowering springs I am not sure....
