245/45/18 on 2016 ILX stock height
so my tesla model 3 is in the shop and im going up to ski with my family in a few weeks. i have a set of xi3 snow tires for my model 3, they are 245/45/18 +40 offset.
my dad has a 2016 ILX base. based on some pix of tires on here, i think the diameter of the tire wont be a problem, but im wondering if the 245s might be too wide for the fenders.
what is the widest tire that can go on without hitting the fenders?

Have you validated the lug pattern is the same? Or are you looking to mount the tires on the OEM rims?

center bore and bolt pattern are the same. im trying to keep it mounted on same wheels.
2016 stock wheels are either:
18 x 8 + 45
17 x 7.5 +50
tesla rims are
18 x 8.5 +40

If your father has the base ilx, it should have the 17" wheels meaning they are 17x7 with 215/45/17 tires. Taking the specs on the Tesla rims in consideration, i believe you will rub when turning the wheel and might rub the fender when driving in bumpy roads.
