I bought the car used last late fall (14K miles on odometer) and it came with continentals mounted on 18inch rims. Now after the winter in Chicagoland 1 of the tires is loosing air slowly and needs "attention" every few weeks and i just noticed another one has a small but definite bulge on the side (damn potholes) so i might end up with 2 tires being replaced.
I hear/read a lot of bad things about contis that the car came with as far as their reliability and i always had a good luck with Michelin tires so maybe instead of replacing 2 rather expensive continetals i should go with other brand(?)
Pirelli, michellin...i dont want anything cheap but also not prepared to spend big $$$ for new expensive tires at this point of time so something good and priced well would work best.

For the area you live and the chances of hitting pot holes is just as bad as my situation in Michigan metro Detroit area. I would recommend the FALKEN PRO G4 A/S. Good traction year round and wont break the bank.
