Strange Noise on startup
Hello,
Been enjoying my 2013 ILX for some time now, but noticed a bad noise on startup. Only happens on the first start of the day and not again afterwards. I let it sit for several hours and couldn't replicate. But it has made the sounds early morning 3 days in a row, so I am guessing it is temperature based somewhat. When I start the car I hear a strange whirring sound like a bad small electrical fan in the car. Noise lasts for about 30 seconds then stops. AC/Heat was off at the time. It's also not particularly cold where I live (So-Cal).
Any ideas?
It doesn't like the starter sticking or the common VCT solenoid I have read about. But I haven't been quick enough to get outside of the car to listen to what it sounds like outside of the cab.

So it took me forever to catch it on video but I finally got it. Usually only happens on first startup of the day and it needs to be sitting for a few days for it to happen. The last time this happened I shut the engine off but left the accessories going and the noise continued. At this point I am pretty sure it is the small case fan in the back of the NAV unit that is slowly failing. Link to video:
Has anyone else have this issue?
I did a search but was unable to find a write up on how to remove the NAV unit so I can replace that fan. Does anyone know of one?
Thanks in advance--
