I use the Mother's cone polisher, but nothing is better than Mother's polish and gun cleaning patches. Like using little diapers.
I so love the look of polished aluminum, even tho it takes dedication. I have some Sharkhide coming to test out.

I bought some 3M Dual Lock because it claims to hold 10lbs per foot. Stuck 3 2" pieces on to see if it would hold stuff together for fitting.
Seems to work quite well.



Now I can trim the excess I added for safety.



For final attachment I'll be using this.

I used 3M 90 adhesive to stick it on. These skirt extensions should help calm crosswinds without making city driving a pain.

I didn't like the pretendo vent so I removed it and bought an Amazon diffuser to put in it's place. I wanted to draw a little more attention to it so added a brake light.
All custom. Yeah, I'm an attention whore

I'm using Oznium bright white s/s LED bolts for the brake light and 3M lens material. Posting this up for DIYers, besides, it keeps my mind occupied in this most bazar time.

The lens is sticky backed so I put 2 pieces together and sanded the inside with 600 grit to frost it.

The lens is captured, not glued in.


I used acetone to attach the capture and was a little sloppy. The inside will be getting white reflective tape after it's painted to improve light output.




The lights are waterproof marine grade so I won't have a problem in my shorts (pun intended).

I broke a lamina off with a fall in 1972 in the military. It floated around until having it removed in 2013. It tore up a lot. My junk quit working 20 years ago, from my waist down I feel like I'm on fire, and when I walk it feels like I'm walking on gravel, sharps an all, but I'm still walking, thank You LORD. I'm too stupid to lay down and die, I'm waiting for the purge.

The ex burnt the wallet, but the uncle does take care of me well. Some of the world may be grateful, some say OK Boomer.
I probably would have been better off had I not raced a few years in open class veteran off road Grand Prix with my highly twisted RM465 Zuke. Qualified for stadium races several times, but where's the fun in that?

Thought I'd update.
Here's the front side of the belly pan and yes covered complete underside of trunk with floor and tunnel insulation.




Got a box of Noico Red insulation from Amazon to do the inside. Not the quietest, but really light weight. Covered under the back seat, wheel housings, trunk floor to the spare, under side of spare cover, and inner fenders. Added a 3rd brake light flasher when tapping in for lower brake light. More to do but had to take a break, this broken old man stuff, you know?

In case anyone wants to add the 3rd brake light flasher, the wires T off in the driver side C pillar, behind the airbag. It's tight but accessible.
I used sta-kons there rather than the solder+seals. I didn't want to chance heat there. Sorry, no pictures.

Finishing the removal of cross bar. Teeth added for strength / adhesion. 40 grit and many holes.




Using 3M easy sand bumper repair inside and out and packing tape to mold as I go.
Not sure if custom or cussed 'em

I didn't wash before the pic, but here she is. The way it should have been from factory.

The velcro worked well for early shaping but changed to aluminum flanged inserts for final fitting and mounting.




I'm using foam weather seal to to create upper mounting flange mold for 3M bumper fast repair

Final fitting. I put packing tape on the lower garnish to prevent bonding until after I paint and using same tape to hold shape. This is the easy sand bumper repair.
