Like what you guys did with the front and rear kit. Saw it on instagram.

Fingers crossed this ILX wont be plagued with that Vossen Disease that's going around.

This is what make cars so special, one of the main reason I chose the car business. Everyone has their opinions on styles, look and etc.

As you probably already know, all of the vendors we used for the projects are companies that easy to deal with and like to explore new boundaries and markets. Open minded is the key concept here.

I get the same "Instagram seems to be having problems right now" message that I get whenever I try to post on Mike_Vossen's pics. And I know fact that dude blocked me. Can't stand me asking every few months if they have been certified yet.

When I log into the ILXclub instagram though I can post on your pics all day.

But since you started with this, here you go: I did not "Block" you on Instagram and I didn't give you bs excuses of "Instagram seems to be having problems right now". As you can see, it would have say "UnBlock User" if I blocked you. For your information, I didn't just unblock you so I can screen shot the pic and make me the winner. And Yes, my phone is 100% charged.

First of all, I don't like drama. Dude like yourself drives me nut. I know you have your opinions and I am good with that. Craps you write could really intimidate people and hurt companies. First change is the Fog Lights. Since all A-Spec come with normal Halogen bulb, we changed them out with the Acura optional LED Fog Light kit. The LED housing has a blue tint and a nice cut off for the light beam. Picture left is stock and right is LED fog light.

p.s. For folks that have non A-Spec models, you will need to purchase both attachment and LED fog light kit to complete the job.

I'm not saying YOU gave me an excuse of IG not working. I am saying INSTAGRAM is giving me that excuse...


That error message typically means the person blocked you from commenting on their pictures. I know this as IG wont say "you have been blocked". It gives that exact message.

I then jumped on the ILXClub page and was able to post in that exact photo. I jump back onto my private account and once again I cant post in your pics.

I'll take your word for it but it's odd IG wont let me post on your pics.

Im not going to turn this thread into an anti-vossen thread. But when there are blogs and people out there dedicated to bring Vossen down... my comment are like a whisper in their ear compared to what other people are doing and saying.

I for one actually speak to Mike on occasion trying to get real information verse just mindlessly bashing their company. I will support them the day they are certified as safe. But until them all I see is a company willing to bash me for simply inquiring whether or not they are certified by any safety control groups yet.

Clean ILX. I dread the day Vossens are mounted to it but I do love the kit and cant wait to see the how the front CF looks.

Question... are the fogs projectors or just LED upgrades? They looked like projector lenses to me on IG.

Wow you posted about the fogs as I was editing my drawn out post.

So those are a full LED fog kit? Huh. Wonder if they would fit in the 2013 ILX.

Not sure they will fit the 2013-2015 ILXs. I will definitely look into that for you.

They are full 100% LED fog kit and they matched perfectly to the Jewel Eye headlights.

I like how they look like projectors. Not as much in the above pic as the one posted on IG. The one I saw on IG looked to match the projector in the headlight perfect.

I already have 80w amber Cree LEDs in my fogs but Id love for them to see in a projector housing!

Yeah that last pic makes them look SO GOOD. Love the glowing orb look over the chrome headlight housing you normally see.

I love how mine look when lit up but Id rather they looked like those when turned off.

these are dealer "upgraded" cars.

I cant say exactly what Mike's position is. I believe this ILX is like the TLX he is modding. More of a selling/marketing tool for acura/vossen/pembroke.

If I remember correctly they also modded that black ILX we saw on 19in Vossens. You know that guy that hasn't been back here since he posted that first post?

I believe Mike said the TLX was not for sale. I could be wrong. Seemed to me they were work for marketing purposes then trying to upgrade them for a sale. Im surprised no one bought the TLX if this isnt the case.

Also...Mike isn't Vossen Mike...
Vossen Mike is Vossen Mike.
Mike Chan is Captain Acura America. Two different people and trust me, he wouldn't waste time being childish with blocking anyone.

I also happen to know for a fact the car will get Vossen. Why!?! Because they are a vendor with a dealership. Good luck convincing Acura corporate that they "need" to cough up $3-4K on one of the high end brand wheels to put on their "featured" cars.

It's not that everyone doesn't agree that the higher end wheels are nicer and likely better quality...but it's a simple matter of supply and demand and corporate budgets.

I don't know ANY of this for a fact but working in a big company for the last 17 years...I am starting to understand how things work.

So there...that's the reason. Even if Mike or I agree, can't publicly do it or knock the product.

In addition...no matter how you slice dice and justify it...there's no denying the wheels LOOK good.

Mike_Vossen tries super hard to name drop and be somebody while Chan_Mike is pretty down to earth and easy to conversate with even if you dont like his wheel choice.

Kinda related/kind of off topic, when I was shopping for my car, someone was also selling TL's from the Avengers movies/Agents of Shield tv show. They're the Agents cars. A Marine ended up buying one, he still has the big ass logo on the side. I randomly see it on Camp Pendleton sometimes. It's a TL so it's already nice but they were a little bit upgraded looks wise, can't remember off the top of my head what tho.

Point of the story being sometimes you can find an already decently pimped car, and maybe just finish it yourself or keep as is and you got a nice custom already. I'm not a fan of Vossen either, but if I saw them on a car I was looking at anyway, I'd buy the car and sell off the wheels.

That TLX in the background being a nice example.

OEM front and rear under spoilers/valences going in. They do require to remove front and rear bumpers for installation.

Hmmmm Im not a fan of the lip kit on the 2016 ILX... BUT that was on a white ILX and it didnt look right at ll to me... This blue is a very 'sporty" blue, and the carbon fiber is 'sporty" looking too...maybe it will look better? Very curious about what wheel size/looks they will choose too.

Wrap those pillars in carbon man. I hate the OEM flat color.

The "Carbon Fiber" look on the valences/underbody spoilers are Acura OEM. It is not a wrap. It comes from factory with that look.
