Ridgid collars for the subframe
heard these make a huge difference in how the car feels and handles. Supposed to take up the float between the subframe bolt and the opening for it. Engineering designs the opening for the bolt to go through bigger for easy of assembly as it goes down the line during production.

New stuff and new stuff learned

Powder coated the aluminum portion of the intake manifold

Refinished the fluel rail

Since i installed the ktuned intake manifold thermal gasket, you must relocate the ground wires that originally connect to the intake manifold to the valve cover. The gasket acts like a insulator between the cylinder head and intake manifold preventing the ground cables from working properly.

Polished the inside of the runner for better airflow.

Nice build, I do have one question. Why would you keep that sunroof with all that weight at the highest point of the car?

Cost factor

You are right about the weight. I just don't see it as a priority right now for cost reasons to delete a sunroof. The cost per weight savings is not there for me right now.

Please don't take this wrong. I see you've done all the bracing and suspension work so you want to go faster. Loosing 35ish lbs. over your head will make a big difference on the track. Price per pound is better than the battery and lowering the cg quite a bit will really lower lap times. A couple pieces of aluminum to make a mount, spray foam the shape of the glass, hit it with epoxy and paint. Great winter project. Maybe top it off with carbon fiber. https://fairclothcomposites.com/prod...16142187921497
When I bought my '16 I actually asked if I could get one without the hole in the roof.

I have a friend with a rsx type s who got a type r roof and had a body shop swap it over. Saved the weight that way. Us with the ilx don't have the option for no sunroof. I was looking to do this professionally at a shop. Body work is not my specialty and don't wanna hack the job. I got my winter list of projects already with new clutchand flywheel,LSD, Ridgid collars

New passenger seat

So i paired up a falcon r series driver's seat with a venom r series passenger seat. I went with a different seat for the passenger side that's not as aggressive and can accommodate variety of body types. Also much easier to get in and out off. So since the seat is heavier than my driver's seat i made it a fixed position. Kept the sliders out to keep weight down. Over all the OEM seat was 50 lbs and the new seat with all the bracket and hardware came to 38 lbs.

Rear end time

One and only rear diffuser for the ILX. These are built to order from this company in Ontario Canada. Company is called sinful visions. As far as fitment, only one other ilx member has this installed and he also drives a first Gen. I'm not sure how the fitment will be on 2016+ rear end. Hope you guys like it. It's made out of a composite material. Whole piece is just under 9 lbs. Very sturdy and strong.

Extended wheel studs

Definitely added for safety. When you add spacers these are a must.

did you ever install the LSD? I’ve got an ILX trans in my ek civic paired with a K24a2 swap and it obviously doesn’t come with LSD. Just wondering if you ended up adding it and how the install went?
