2013 2.4 MT ILX - new to the forums

Hello everyone. Just thought I'd share some pics of my 2013 ILX that I bought pre-owned in July, 2015. It was stock when I bought it. I have added the entire OEM lip kit and decklid spoiler, 18x8 TSW Tremblants, 35% window tints and custom axle-back dual exhaust. The exhaust sounds nice and clean - no rasp, no overly loud fart can sound. Y-pipe right behind rear axle to double Magnaflow 2 1/4" mufflers. Functionally it's not as magnificent as it looks, however, the driver side muffler still receives about 25% of the flow and there was a small but noticeable gain in torque and power. That's it for this season. Next spring will be air ride system and supercharger. Car will not see the dyno until then.

welcome! love the added exhaust tips!!!

and car needs to be dynod before you put the supercharger on. cuz thats how science works! you test the before then test the after.

if only testing after, you wont have an accurate baseline and wont know how much power the supercharger increased, as thats what a dyno is for! to test how much power a specific part makes, not necessarily how much power your car makes, as one can skew dyno results

nice exhaust! That's clean looking and well done. How much would I be looking at if I wanted to get this done??

Thanks everyone!
  • Quick updates:
    • Change of plans - all cash going toward corporation and biz. No charger/bags yet. No longer selling cars for other dealers.
    • Added door sill illumination kit though! That was like $300 installed at Acura for all 4 doors (the rears don't illuminate but they come with the kit). Looks good! I'll post a pic tonight when it's darker out. Wholesale relations for the win!
    • The exhaust was $450 all parts and labor included. Lou's Custom Exhaust in Massachusetts - family owned chain who does really great work for very competitive rates. They are meticulous in their measures, cuts and welds which are very high quality and also spray your pipes flat black and guarantee your tips against rust for life.

Thanks! It's stock. Maybe the OEM lip kit makes it seem lowered.

Thanks! I know you're supposed to benchmark before and after. What I meant was I wouldn't be doing the before OR after until the time comes to add the charger.

Anyway, appreciate the posts guys. I'll keep adding to this and updating it more frequently.

Thanks! :-)

I took a few photos of the door sill illumination kit but they all came out way too dark at night to really see anything, and the flash completely cancels out everything. I need to hit it with no flash at just the right light levels in the evening.

I'll keep this updated.
