Lowering Springs
I have a 2013Ilx with 39,000 miles and it was a lease car til i got it so it had to be taken care of. I will most likely get H&R springs but is their anything else i need? sort of new to this game

No. The H&R springs will go on the stock shocks. The wheels will have slightly more camber once you lower it which is fine. If you want to lose the extra camber lowering will give then yes youll have to buy a camber kit.

How low do the H&R's go? I would image if they're designed to work with stock shocks, it may only be an inch drop or so. Anything more, and it would prematurely wear the factory shock.
I'd like to get some springs eventually but I'm not a fan of coilovers.
(Jon, don't flame me if I end up NOT buying H&R's)
I know you hate giving advice and hate when the person doesn't buy them, lol

After looking around, I see that H&R does not have an application for the 2016 ILX.
I have heard that 2014 Civic SI suspension is compatible.
Can anyone else confirm if there is any truth to this??

Its when they act like they need the product and its only 50 bucks then they dont get it. Not much you can buy for your car for less than 50 so if 50 breaks the bank than car modding probably isnt the right hobby to get into.

You've probably heard people say don't put lowering springs on stock shocks, or just go coils.
So I'll clear it up before anyone else says otherwise. Everyone doesn't have the funds for coilovers so springs will be the next best thing. It's better then 4x4. Anyways, I ran springs on my TL-S for 3 years, stock shocks 80k miles. No issues. I ran coils on my Civic too. It's all a personal preference.
H&R is a reputable company. I've been debating on getting some H&R springs for my Explorer to give it a slight drop. Get the springs and don't look back, just make sure you will be fine with the ride height.
I believe don't quote me on this but camber kit will decide on how aggressive the drop is... When I had my Eibach's on my TL I didn't need a camber kit. When I swapped them out for Neuspeeds I did.

From top plates that are attached to the strut tower
To your generic A arm camber kit
To the LCA camber kits
All the way to the cheaper camber bolts like ingalls offers
Each one will offer a different range of camber adjustment and Id assume the top plate/A arm kit may make the drop less aggressive while Id assume the bolts or LCA kit dont change much of anything.
Personally.... from my integra to the ILX I never saw a need for camber adjustment but I always just went at most about 2.5in lowered which only ever gave about -3 MOST in camber. Which is fine with the right toe alignment.
Hope some of that helps!

With just springs you'll be able to lower it about 1.5-2 in.
You don't need any camber kit cause your stock wheels arent that wide and the camber doesn't get too off spec. I'm running -3.5 camber on my car but that's because I have no wheel gap and I'm also running a 10in wide wheel. That's with an aftermarket camber kit.
After you lower it on springs, give it about a week to settle. Then go and get an alignment. They'll be able to adjust your toe so your not going through tires. Good luck and check out my thread if you want to see how my car looks.
