I'm coming from BMW and the Germans as much as they are complicated but they offer you options.
On my 335i 07 i have 2 buttons on steering wheel which i can program them to any function in radio/Nav or screen of my desire. Because we all agree that a mute button is pretty useful function. TLX has it but I'm not able to find on ILX 16, does anyone know?

To my knowledge there is none. I just reach up and twist the knob on the dash unit if I have to. Sick idea to have a 'blank' button on there though...

You can press the volume button which turns the stereo off. Pressing it again starts it exactly where it started. So it wont mute and let it keep playing but itll instantly go silent then start again once you press power again.
