I just bought a 2017 Acura ILX Premium and was told i can download the navigation app and connect it with the iOS cables. i bought the cables, downloaded the app and tried to connect to my navigation and it won't work. my phone connects and is compatible with everything else on the car, but won't work with the navigation. anyone know how to rectify this? Why does it keep saying it won't connect and/or i need to download the app when i clearly have it downloaded and open on my phone? Thanks.

 

I just had the exact same problem with my 2016 ilx. You have to make sure the lightning digital AV adapter is from Apple and the charging cable as well. I tried taking the cheap route by buying an all in one cord from amazon but that didn’t work, instead it messed up my battery and it gave me the same message on the screen saying I need to download the app. Hope this helped.
