Winter Tire Size Recommendation

Which tire size would have the best traction for winter driving? 15", 16" or 17"

Or does size even matter at all?

Well, it all depends on which engine you have. Do you have 2.4 or 2.0? or even hybrid?

For 2.4, you need to go with 16", go with 205/55/16 (I think that's the size that 2013 ILX Base model came with). If you really care about driving experience, I guess you can go with 17". But bigger the size, more expensive it is.

If you have 2.0, 15" works. Some people may wonder "What? 15" works on ILX?" and answer is yes, I even saw them selling at Acura dealership haha. 185/ 65/ 15 or 195/ 65/ 15 should be a good choice.

Narrower the tire, better it is for winter tire btw

My dealership said to not go to 15" as it can affect the brakes (note, the dealer knew I wasn't buying them through them so they had nothing to gain by lying)

Installed 195 65 15 Michelin X-Ice 3 with 15" steel yesterday. ILX 2.4 requires 16"+ but 15" fits
