Tein Street Advance and Street Basis Coilovers Announced!

I am pleased to announce Heeltoe's very first ILX offering. One of the things I noticed when test driving the ILX was how good the chassis felt but how meh the suspension and body control was. Certainly this is not a bad car, but can only be made better with some real sports suspension.

Enter Tein (pronounced "Tane"), a high level product manufacturer in Japan. Their suspension systems are meant to offer something for everyone. The Street Advance and Street Basis kits from Tein are designed for the daily driver looking to lower their car between 1.5 and 2.0 inches with adjustment to get it juuust right with your wheel fitment. The ride is sporty and firmer than stock, while they do a great job of absorbing larger bumps, making the system usable in everyday scenarios on all kinds of roads.

The latest versions of the Street Advance and Street Basis from Tein offer a great new corrosion resistant coating on the threaded sections, so they are great in all climates as well.

Link here to see them online in Heeltoeauto.com's brand new ILX category:

These kits are backed by Tein's 1-year warranty which includes parts and rebuilding labor for defective units. And they are also backed by us, Heeltoe Automotive, who has been a direct authorized Tein dealer for the last 7+ years and consistently performs in the top 10-20 Tein dealers worldwide!

For a limited time only! We are offering an additional 5% off these ILX suspension kits for the first 5 people ONLY! Use the coupon code "teinintro" during checkout on heeltoeauto.com to redeem your isntance 5% incentive!

Has this been confirmed to fit an ILX? Or has this kit been built for an Si and they assume it'll fit.

I'm really excited to get that confirmation because I've been worried about using Civic Si coils. Thanks so much!

This is based on an official press release from Tein. They would not say it would fit if it did not. Note the kit is listed with the same part number as the Civic Si, but that may not specifically mean all Si kits for the ILX.

Does anyone know the spring rate on these? It says 6/7, is that 6000/7000lb springs? I have rode in a car with KSport coilovers and they can be a bit harsh.

Those numbers are kg force. The 6 equates to about 336 lbs, and 7 equates to about 392 lbs.

You want to observe that the shipping quotes are not listed in price order. Is that the least expensive option?
