Sad to say that after this weekend, I'll no longer have the ILX. It's a great car and fun to drive but given my new Tesla and the fact that the used car market is so crazy now, CarMax is offering me a crazy high price for a 6 year old car. It cost me $29.5k when new and they are offering $21.5k now. It's been mostly just sitting on the driveway rotting away so no point keeping it when they are offering crazy money for it.

 

May as well take advantage of the market if you can, right??

 

Exactly. I don't normally sell cars so "new." I'm a buy and drive until it falls apart person. I'm fixing up some cosmetic issues on the RDX since I'm keeping it for at least 5 more years (only 115k miles now) and then assuming the car market is normal by then, consider a replacement.

 

Good move, as Acura has confirmed that the ILX is dead (but no surprise with the Integra on the way) so once the market levels out the value may tank.
