Hello everyone I made an account to hopefully find some help with an issue that’s occurred to me. I recently changed the battery out of my 2016 ILX and ever since then my moonroof stopped working. It opened all the way but wouldn’t close until one day miraculously I was pressing the switch back and forth and I closed it and never touched the switch again until last night someone used my car and opened the moonroof up again and now it’s not closing. The only button that worked was the open switch and I pressed it all the way open and now it doesn’t close. I found a few threads with some solutions but they all didn’t work unfortunately. Anyone have any idea of what I can do?

It sounds like the switch might need to be "reset" but I don't know offhand how to do this. But in the meantime, try looking up the manual close procedure. I know most of these cars have a manual socket somewhere you can use a tool to close the moonroof.
