Drive Shaft Recall (new)
Hi 2013-2015 i think not sure if 2016+ ilx has a new recall about the drive shaft getting rusty.
Anyone did the recall yet? if not its open for all trims ilx
my dealer said they are out of the part and wont even inspect my car..... been 3 weeks now no call back or letter. even emailed acura got left on read.
Is it the part where it connects to both tires? under the car right? nothing to do with inside?

Hey a little late to reply to this thread but i sincerely hope your local Acura dealer was able to complete this safety-related recall for you.
I recently had this recall completed on my new-to-me ILX. I had purchased the vehicle from a used car lot and since the majority of the service history was unknown to me i thought Id go ahead and replace all crucial fluids like engine / transmission and coolant. It wasnt until I called to schedule an appointment that I was made aware of this recall campaign and fortunately they did have the required parts in stock to complete this on the day of my appointment.
I would recommend calling a few local dealerships if you think you're getting the run around.
Also to answer your final question regarding the driveshafts im not too mechanically inclined but I think they are related to the suspension/axle Again could be wrong.
I hope you were able to get this done on your vehicle!
