Does the Subwoofer get better after getting worn in?

Hello again guys,

New owner if a black '14 2.4L MT ILX here and I'm enjoying it a bunch. Car has 350 miles on it.

My question is has anybody's sub gotten better after being worn in a bit.?

I just feel like the bass is really lacking from the sub. I can hardly hear/feel the sub in the trunk.

Hey man,

Welcome to the family and congrats on the purchase! I hope you enjoy it.

I would say that the sub does get better with a bit wear, but not as much you'd expect. It is no secret that the sub is a bit weaker than other premium sound systems. Nonetheless, the 7-speaker sound system isn't that bad either...

If possible, maybe some sound-deadening could help. I have yet to try it (def. tempted) but others have noticed some positive results.

The sub gets the job done for most music. If you listen to popular music, it can be lacking. You'll get used to it.

There is no reason the sub would get better with time.
Unplugging you anc may work. I can't sign by that but I'm happy having done it.
I have the 10 speaker els surround though. Good luck.

I had a set of Orion subs before, and I thought the same thing you're thinking. Biggest mistake I ever made, they broke in after one weekend and they got me a copious amount of tickets. I'm not sure what sub(s) Acura has back there, but if it hasn't broken in yet, then it probably won't.
