To try to fix my on going rattle on my dash board.

in the meantime, i have an RDX (2014) on loan. the v6 is nice. but problems with the brakes, probably needs to get the surface rotored, it has massive pulsation when braking at any speed and the car has only 5000km.

the one thing that surprise me is the wind noise! talk about a very noisy car....at times i thought it was noisier than the ILX!

 

You might've gotten a bad one! I had the RDX loaner last week and I thought it was a comfy drive with minimal noise! (Drove to SF and back no problems) Might be because I drive an Odyssey and Pilot on the side..

 

Hi, I have the exact problem with my ILX. Whenever I drive thru pavement with potholes (I live in Toronto so that's normal condition..this time around), I can hear rattling happening somewhere around dash, steering wheel, etc..

Does that cover thru manufacturer's warranty?

 

yes it is. this would be the 3rd time for the car in the shop for the problem. the shop foreman hears it when i go for a drive with him, but have a hard time replicating it to isolate the problem.

 

and the bottom seats on the RDX is bad!!! i thought the ILX was bad!

 

You sure the rattle's inside. I have a noise which sounded like it cam from the front wheel well. Turns out it was the back, and they had to shim the body (TSB for it).

 

well, the car came back and still have the problem. the tech and advisor acknowledge the problem still exist and they are at a loss of what needs to be done. felt was placed in all areas where they can put one.

i am going to propose this: remove the dash, drive without dash to see if the problem goes away. if problem persist, then the problem is something else.

 

what is the tsb#?
