7 hours with a ILX loaner

Getting my 08 TL-S Type B1 done and got my hands on what appears to be an ILX premium. (Canadian)

2.0L auto.

Anyways it's a nice car with good tech even in the entry level premium without navi. Comes with rear camera, HID and a decent stereo.

I kinda appreciated the auto and was nice getting a break from the 6MT.

Stereo was pretty good...and the on screen display to choose mp3 tracks was nice also.

Highway cruising was pleasant although I wasn't completely confident in passing...maybe cuz i wasn't used to the 4cyl.

Pickup is decent too...it accelerates pretty good from a stop.

Push button start is neat but still a bit gimmicky to me.

One odd thing - manual passenger seat.....wtf? Lemme guess...2014 model?

Anyways I enjoyed the car and would be great to replace my wife's 06 civic sedan with an ILX but I can't give up a V6 just yet.

Glad you liked it -- they aren't bad cars. I think, for a lot of people, price is the cause of polarity. As for the engine, I've been driving 4 cylinder cars for a while, so I don't mind them (jetta 2.0t, civic si, tsx, ilx)

I just traded in my 07 TL Type-S 6spd for a 14 ILX 2.4 6spd. I haven't really pushed it since I only have 300 miles on it but I like it. Yes losing the torque from the V6 is a minus, but it still has decent power. The 4.7 final drive also helps pass people on the highway without having to shift down.

Still a 'manual' passenger seat on a 2014.
