I cant believe it. I thought the accord sport for having a longer wheel base would ride smoother than the ilx and i was wrong. Now the regular accord (ex,lx) for sure has a smoother ride. I don't know if im crazy but i test drove 2 accord sports 2013 and 2014 both with relatively low mileage they both felt rougher than the ilx. because of the similarities in the profile of the tires and the longer wheel base i thought it would be equal or smoother than the ilx. My wife is leaning towards the ILX anyways so i might get her that one. Have any of you guys cross shopped these two vehicles and found this to be the case also and made you change your mind? Thanks.

 

I never considered Accord because it's an entire size larger than the ILX. If you have a family, the ILX might be a tad small to carry everything. I have 2 other larger cars, so that's why I got the smaller ILX. I also have the ASPEC which comes with the 18" wheels and the ride is definitely not smooth. The sidewall is tiny.

 

Yeah my wife prefers the ilx cause it's easier to park and get around in. I kinda prefer the Accord for it's space. The ride on the killed that one for me. I have a 1 year old and a 8 year old, I checked space on the ilx and we can do ok with that interior space. She is coming from a Honda fit so it's definitely an upgrade interior space wise.
