4K can be worse because you have a higher pixel density. Plus to save energy, some TVs have a dynamic setting that can fluctuate the frame rate. Also consider that the advertised frequency might be for 3D, which is usually a 2x multiplier.

 

Yeah that is why I have no faith in it. Still looking for deals to pickup another F8500. Really wish I would have picked up the 50in one when Best Buy had it on sale for only $900

Until then I have to hope that OLED might be the next Plasma.
