look for an audio out rca jack on the back of you tv, hook that to the tv input jack on back of amp

if your tv doesn't have one see if you cable box has a rca jack for audio out.

Your tv must have an audio out connection. (red & white). Run a couple of patch cables from the TV's audio out to similar imputs on your receiver/preamp. Your receiver should have some audio inputs like VIDEO IN or AUX IN or even TAPE IN (if not used).

Oh, and :ibmovetoh&G:

also i wanted to get a subwoofer, but i looked behind my amp and it doesnt have a subwoofer input. I went to crutchfield and i saw a picture of the back of the sub and it has multiple inputs. I am confused how you connect a sub to your amp? i thought you just connect the sub to the amp with regular speaker wires like all the other speakers. can someone clarify what all these inputs are on the back of this sub?

Looks like you can just take speaker wires and connect your L & R speaker outputs from your amp to the L & R speaker inputs on the sub. The sub has an internal crossover and will direct the low frequencies (bass) to the sub. Then wire your L & R speakers from the L & R speaker outputs. The volume of the sub can be adjusted, relative to the volume of your speakers, using the "volume" control on the left. The crossover level (i.e. the frequency at which the sub plays instead of the speakers) is set using the "low pass" knob. Depending on the speakers that you are using, you want to set the crossover a little higher than the low Hz rating of your L & R speaker. (Example: if you L & R speakers are rated 60Hz-20kHz then set the crossover at 80Hz). The phase switch is to set the subwoofer to play in-phase with the other speakers (0-degree) or out of phase with the other speakers (180-degrees). If your amp has a line-out output then you an use the "line-in" to send signals to the sub&speakers from your amp. If your amp has the dedicated "subwoofer out" connection then you could use that to power only the subwoofer using the "LFE IN" connector (your L&R speakers would have to then be wired from the amp and not from the sub). Hope this helps.
