How to Clean an LCD TV Screen?

How do you guys do it? Are there wipes out there or special cleaners for LCD screens? Just use a damp cloth with a little soap? We just got an LCD TV and I don't want to mess it up.

There are special wipes/solution for LCDs, but I don't know if it is more hype than truth. But I've been using the special solution.

If it's just dust I use a microfiber cloth. You need to use a cloth that picks up the dirt but does not become abrasive and scratch the screen

If it's actually dirty I get a microfiber cloth damp [not at all to the point of dripping], and wipe it down, followed by a dry microfiber cloth to dry it.

At Costco they sell packs of microfiber cleaning cloths in the household/garage/utility section, usually in some crazy bright colors

I use them for everything.. car, tvs, kitchen, etc.

If not a damp cloth, then you can get the screen wipes sold at Radio Shack (The Shack ), most electronics stores and many drug stores for the past decade or so.

A clean damp cloth is cheaper and easier, though.

^^^^ It really needs to be chemical free to avoid damaging the panel, or something made specifically for LCD screens

Both of the TV's I've recently purchased came with the cloth to clean the screen and both work perfectly. Did it come with anything?

No, mine didn't. Is the cloth like the kind you get with reading/sun glasses to clean the lens?
