Had a Wii accident with my TV...
My cousin was playing Wii at my house and cracked my TV. 
It was kinda weird in the way he did it too.
He said he made sure the strap was on, and after it happened, the Wiimote was still in his hand.
What happened was that he was playing Wii Bowling, and when he swung his arm, he hit my TiVo remote which was on a box in front of him. The TiVo remote went flying straight into my TV!
I guess he was really playing golf...
TV was a 52" Sony LCD (KDL-52W4100) that was less than 3 months old...
I am thinking of getting a piece of plexiglass for protection once I get a replacement.

That blows. LCDs really should have some kind of protection. My NEC LCD monitor has protection against stuff like this. Good thing too because my kids are rough on the poor thing.

It has a hard clear plastic front. It's a computer monitor, a bit old now and discontinued LCD1765. I rarely see LCDs with this feature and its a shame too.

How do people become so stupid when you put a Wiimote in their hand? There was a lady in the news a while back that actually knocked her dog out with a wiimote She was swinging and the dog walked near her and she knocked him out.

I'm right there with you, my wii is hooked up to an old school 32 inch in the den, and its never going anywhere near my 52" LCD in the living room, ever. I watching my friend destroy a brand new Sharp Aquis knocking something off his desk playing tennis.The wise man learns from the mistakes of others
