As an owner of an LED backlight LCD, a plasma, and a CCFL backlight LCD, I say YES.

But only for your main movie-watching and football-watching gigantic TV.

Have you actually had a chance to see one in action?

A guy at a big Best Buy (best place to preview TV's, I know ) took me into the theater area of the store where they have the super haas TV's and sound system's, and it's darker so you can see things better.

He put in Pirates of the Caribbean on Blu-Ray on the Samsung 950 (an LED LCD) and it was absolutely incredible. And I already thought that the 650 was awesome. I seriously have never seen a better picture on a TV in my life.
