From what I can see, the interior layout looks pretty nice! I can't tell, is there an island in the kitchen? Keep us updated. If ya don't me asking how much a home like that running for in VA nowadays? Tell me via PM if you prefer.

I'd guess they start around ~$500k but it looks like they've got quite a few upgrades.

Very nice house! I wish I could get a house like that in the Bay Area (without robbing a bank).

Yea, we have plans in terms of color, but we're debating....
The builder comes back in a year to take care of all nail pops and stuff so I dunno - we're back and forth about the painting.

There's no island in the kitchen. Our house is a little over $650k. We had a ton of upgrades!

LOL. Those are mostly my pictures!!!!!

He works in DC so he rarely has a chance to take pictures of the house. I'm using my little P+S. Whenever we visit over the weekend, then he usually takes the d700 to take pictures.

Thanks.

He's still going to work in DC at least for a little bit. He got a counter-offer from work when he was looking for a new job.

He heard word of the silver line coming out to dulles.

He said within a year he wants to be working around the chantilly area and away from DC.

Who knows though.

Beautiful house, you should put in a direct venting hood in if you cook Chinese food often, the kitchen tends to get greasy and nasty with just a recirculating hood.

The faucet handles are going in opposite directions.

They fixed it though...lol

Hmmm - we had no choice? I don't know why asphalt instead of concrete though? I'll ask tomorrow, my final walk through is in the morning.

Hmmm...definitely something to think about for the future. Thanks. We cook stir-fry sometimes so I can see the problem. I'm going to be OCD about cleaning in the beginning though.

I like open entries but hate how much floor space you lose on the second floor..

At first I thought you meant they should have been in the back of the tub...that way you don't have to worry when getting in/out.

I didn't mean it as a put-down. Certainly townhomes are appropriate living quarters in space constrained communities, but yes, that is a townhome. Just surprised that your area hasn't sofftened in price a bit more, that's all.

Pinky, do you have a walk-out basement? In MI you aren't allowed to count basement as sq footage unless it has one (pretty sure), just curious.

And I'm actually surprised those are still going for $650k. I live 5 miles down the street (same town) and new Toll Brothers homes, same size, same size lots, are $50k less and I like them better. But she is 5 miles closer to DC.

Are you still in ffx county?

I love toll brother homes and the whole south riding area. I saw that place boom since I was a little kid and my parents wanted to move out there....

It's at 99.9% at this point. I had my final walk through and 3rd party inspection this morning. There's a few minor things to take care of and another quick walk through an hour before settlement.

I can barely contain myself.
I just need friday to be here.....
