Seriously, though, the grass in the background (front yard looks to be sod?) looks amazing. What type of grass is it?
Front is sod. Back was seeded about a month ago. I honestly have no idea what kind it is. I think blends are pretty prevalent around here.

Where the dogs have fertilized in the back it is dark and lush like the front sod.

Whoa... Anyone know anything about these? Usually powered reel mowers are commercial grade and several thousand dollars.

This one is clearly for home use and is battery powered for $500.

I know nothing of the mower but the products I have bought from Gardena in the past (quick disconnect hose couplers) have been top notch. I wouldn’t hesitate to give it a try.

I didn't know there was a lawnmower thread!!!

Picked this up in February when we bought our new house. We have an acre corner lot and it's ALL grass; I get it done in 40 minutes or so.

It's really fun! 21.5-horsepower gets it up to a whopping 7-mph, which doesn't sound like much, but it's a bit scary on that thing I'm usually at half throttle though. The 6-gallon tank empties pretty damn fast at full tilt.

Cool! I sometimes wish I had gone zero turn for the maneuverability, but The rider sure is a heck of a lot faster than walking.

My yard is right on the bubble of being able to justify a rider. Takes me around an hour to mow, partly because of the odd dimensions in the back with the pool.
If the Honda self-propelled decides to die one day, I may look into a pretty small/compact riding mower. But til then, I'll keep running the RWD mid-engine Honda around the yard.

^ It'll never die, better start coming up with a plan B to justify a rider. I'm just about there myself, sick and tired of spending an hour mowing. Would rather be done in 20 minutes and a beer in hand. Ryobi makes an electric rider that really has my attention.

I need to invest in a new blower first, having to sweep a corner lot after mowing is a literal pain.
Next after that is an edger, or the Stihl edger head for my string trimmer. Been getting by edging with the string trimmer in the interim.

Stihl SH 86 c-e is a great blower if you need a shredder function. The 56 is nice but the trigger lock on the 86 in convenient for extended use. Back-pack blowers are nice if all you need to do is blow and are blowing a larger area.

Mine will serve light duty use. A backpack blower would be beyond overkill.
Something like the BG 50 or 56CE is likely to fit the bill.

I have a BGA 56 that does great for me in light duty... blowing clippings off of the street, walks and tractor. Battery life is great and recharges are fast.

Will have to compare with the 2-stroke & see how they price out locally.

The battery powered one comes in at $199 and is $60 more than the BG50 and $10 more than the BG56C-E. If you need the Shredder option, the SH56C-E is the same price where as the SH86C-E is $90 more than the Battery powered one.

Yup, it is more but no noisy 2-stroke.

I did get a yard cart for it, and used it extensively this past weekend cutting landscaping beds (used it to haul away cut turf) and distributing 8 yards of mulch all around my property.

The last time I did bed mulching myself, I used a wheelbarrow and was about 25 years younger. The yard cart was the perfect thing to make the task doable for the me and the wife. One of the best $100 I've spent.

That would be cheaper to put together than some of the pro level zero turns!

Did you ceramic coat it? If not, are you really gardening?

I ceramic coated my car.

I'm going to put my wheelbarrow on the curb so someone who will use it can have it.
