Need some help with surveillance options on rental property...

we have a suspicion that there is a disgruntled former tenant who may be trying to mess with the boiler valves... the other day, we almost had an explosion because we found one of the boiler valves closed when it shouldn't have been. by law, the boiler room can't be locked for fire access so it isn't as simple as just locking the room...

thinking about some spy cam options except ther are a few problems...

i don't have a dedicated computer or internet connection i could just link to a DVR for the camera system... so it would have to be something like a spy cam which takes multiple photos and saves it onto a memory stick or memory card which i can pull off the camera if needed...

i was told of something like this that just keeps taking thousands of photos per hour... when it hits the max of the memory card, just rewrites the oldest picture.... endless loop... i think this would work because normally we would know within a day if there is an issue and can go to pull the photos from the camera within a day...

What's your budget? NAS boxes support IP cameras. You could put a 1-2TB drive in this guy and add a camera or two to it. http://www.synology.com/products/spe...DS110j&lang=us

it works while plugged in also. It would be a cool toy to have after you've done what you need to do surveillance wise.
