My bathroom nightmare

I agree that a warm, very light grey would be nice. If there is a wall that makes sense to make an accent wall in a bolder/darker shade of the same hue, that could be nice also. I would take a tile with you when you go to look at paint chips and pull one of the paler greys from the tile. Bright white for the trim and ceiling will make a crisp, clean contrast.

Glass block window is being kept. Partly because replacing it with anything else would've been a monumental undertaking, partly to match the rest of the houses in the neighborhood. I like having a window in the shower and replacing it with a more standard frosted window would stand out against the neighbors house. The glass block under the smaller vanity has been removed.
On the color front, had a friend come over with a color wheel and a Benjamin Moore chip wheel with all their colors. Found about half a dozen that have potential. I forgot to bring them with me today but I'll try to post them up with the color codes tonight or tomorrow morning. The marble will was finished yesterday. Hopefully we'll be able to install it tonight.

Made a little progress this weekend. Got the drywall patches in place. I have absolutely no business doing any kind of drywall work. It looks like ass. Thankfully it will all be covered by the vanities. Got the debris hauled away too. Took it to the landfill where they grossly underestimated the weight and therefore undercharged me for it. Probably the first thing thats come in under budget thus far. Got the threshold in too. Only had a minor coronary cutting the marble. I hate one shot cuts like that.
Picked the wall color too. I got prefinished white baseboards and will be painting the walls Arctic Blue. Its a nice light shade and will compliment the tile and dark vanities nicely. But mostly the gf really likes it.

Nice color, I've always liked light colors, like blue and green.
I may be starting on a bathroom renovation for my brother sooner than I thought. We discovered a foundation leak that seeped down and went under the basement's bathroom floor and "shower". Will be ripping some stuff out to see how widespread the leak is and to get it dry again. I figure why not keep going if we start

Nope, just a basement bathroom. Everything is functional except for the shower that an adult couldn't even fit it, so that needs to come out anyways. I would like to redo the whole thing (mostly tile), but his house = his budget. Plus we've got some other important projects to get done, so we'll see what happens.

Sorry for the lack of pictures recently, haven't done much work that's pic worthy. That should change tomorrow though! Hoping to texture and paint. Going to pick up the new cabinets tomorrow. They should be in by the weekend. They've got full backs, so I'll have to measure and cut holes for water supply lines and drains. I'm not looking forward to it. Placing one of them is going to be a 2 man job and I don't know when I'll be able to get assistance. I'm hoping to be back in there by Sunday!
