Lets talk mattreses
So, I found that the best proven mattresses are ones that I have slept on for more than one day. I can't see how going to a mattress store and spending 5 minutes on a mattress can truly tell you if you like it or not. Having these places w/ the '5 day guarantee' looks like a PIA having them come in and out of your house w/ a mattress.
I had a thought about what mattresses I wanted to look at since my original is in the other house now and I'm gonna need one for the condo. I stayed at a Westin for 3 weeks once for work and I would go to sleep within seconds on their mattress. It turns out the mattress is soo popular that they resell it to the public.
I stayed at a RItz Carlton 3X and each time I slept like a baby on their mattress as well I was considering their models as well, any thoughts on this? My las mattress was a hand me down from my sister so this is the first time im purchasing one.

I had a Sealy Ultra Plush for $800 (full) before I bought my cal king foam bed ($1600). The Plushes were too soft for me and my middle sank in which was uncomfortable. I don't think you can beat the foam beds. I love mine.

Eclipse, since youre in jersey - there is this place in S jersey
called C&C mattress http://www.ccmattress.com/
with the best prices i've found.
I got a sterns & fosters "level 4" there for like $1800 (kingsize) compared to 2700-3500 (macy's - sleepys). The guys at sleepy's called the S&F brand the "cadillac of mattresses".
You should look into those.

I bought my new mattress back in Nov '04. I got a Serta Perfect Dreamer (not to be confused with Perfect Sleeper) which has the perfect firmness for me. I like firm mattresses but the top of this mattress is very soft/plush without bein a real pillow-top.
