lawn chemicals and pets
The first issue is that we have a lot of grubs this year. I know its not the best time to apply grub killer but I need to. The issue is that we have a 5month old puppy who eats everything. I was wondering if anyone out there with pets knows what I could use for not only grubs, but regular lawn maintenence, ie fertilizer, lime etc. Thanks.

Agree. Read teh label. Most will say its fine but just keep the pets off of it for a few days. You could maybe apply the front yard first and let the puppy spend the week in the back then reverse it.

Beneficial nematodes is the organic way to handle grubs. I've never had to use them though.
As far as fertilizer I use soybean meal. No worries about the kids/dogs eating it and you won't have to water your lawn as much either.
