It has been forever since I have updated this, so here are a few more pics. Some intermediate photos will be missing as I can't seem to find my camera at the moment.

First picture of the framing.

Cool detial photo.

Second floor floor joists going in.

A view from the basket at the second floor level.

The back of the small barn.

Siding starting to go on!

The view from the second floor.

The view from the future kitchen-and my father

The front of the small barn with the P2000 insulation on.

The big barn.

Windows! (A side note-windows are stupidly expensive)

A random shot of my brtoher in our brand new kayaks we bought for our house in Maine.

And lastly, an artsy shot of the siding and cool sky (also the way she sits as of right now).

Really nice! You've got some great views of hill country. I'm jealous.

It all looks great, except for that ugly burnt orange shirt your brother is wearing.

Board and batton-it is a barn after all

The structure that is going in-between the two will be faced in stone (it is going to look like a silo and contain the staircase to get up to the second floor).

Lastly, UT FTMFW!!

The entire idea was to make a place for ME not anyone else. If a friend comes over, then they are more then welcome to the couch But I don't want a big place anymore (my current house is 3.5k square feet).

since you have a bit of $$$ - seems like a great location for solar panels... are you going that route?

A bit of money . . . I wish.

Although, you are correct-I am looking into solar panels. I am also going to run everything off of rain water. The next big construction project is the 20k gallon tank to store it all.

Not many updates to report-things have been slowing down as I near the completion of the outside.

Real easy-I collect all of the rainwater from the roofs and store it in a 20k gallon tank that is being built soon. I then run it through two filters and a UV light. In the end, the water is head and shoulders above anything else you will get from the ground.

That's awesome! No chemicals are added? If you don't mind, how much does the entire set-up cost?

Nice. A lot of people around here have that.

My house has a natural spring that runs out of a hill into a cistern, then it is filtered multiple times as it is pumped to the house.
