Honda mower are always a great way to go. I had one that my friend gave me that was over 20 years old and it ran better than my 2 year old Craftsman.

Anyone used this for their lawn?

Orbit Timers

I just got one and I think it is a great little gadget.

And I was laying down some bark last weekend, and I was thinking, should I use a weed barrier or just lay down the bark on top of the soil? I've heard of both ways being good for various reasons, should I lay it down you think?

No one waters or weeds their lawn I guess?

Anyways, about 2 weeks later and the grass is growing in nicely.

And 900 lbs. of rocks later... plants look lively huh? I am not counting on this year but next for the full blossom.

Both are not bad at all. I need to get off my butt and get some quotes for my back yard. As much as I'd like to do it myself, if somebody can do it for a few grand..have at it!

I am happy to say that most of the "big projects" for me are done at this point... Besides my next one, which is a waterfall feature and stream, my "tropical"area.

And I haven't put any fertilizer yet. Hoping to be able to keep it green for a while.

What is that tree directly behind your porch doors/back steps? And what state are you in?

I am in Washington St., and the tree is a type of Rhododendron. It was not looking good before but I've spent time trimming it over several months to get my desired look.
Like it?

Most of the plants you see were from my parents home. I took them in and am trying to "nurse" them back to vibrantness!

Why didn't you make the shed bigger? It looks so tiny in you're huge backyard, lol.

Awesome transformation, sir!!

Just suggestion but pressure washing the sidewalk (only the part in front of your house obviously) would really add a nice finishing touch.

My pleasure. It would be silly to rip it out and replace it, mainly because it's not yours to maintain but you'd be amazed how much dirt can come up with a good gas-powered pressure washer. Don't bother with the electric ones....those are a joke.

But I'll keep the pictures to a minimum for others to show off their yards too! Once I get my waterfall in I'll post some more pics for that.

Too cold here (most of the time) to make an outdoor pool a viable option. I 've thought about it! Thanks though!

Got two more Stihl Arsenals! A BG 86 blower and a HS 81R Trimmer, I've had the FS 90R for a year + and love it! Had to get more...

And also decided to take a snap shot of the shed at night. It's a little blurry, but kinda shows how it really lights up the backyard!

It's been a while (4 years?), but I've done some things to the house, just haven't posted them. It's interesting to look back at the work that has been done. When I get some time I'll post up some update pics.

Wow, what a difference, fence looks fantastic! Are you going to seal it or anything to prevent/slow weathering?

The last 3 pics are already sealed... You should be able to see the difference from the other pics.

Damn. Pure cedar even the posts? $$$$$$

You're suppose to weather the wood for a year or something like that before sealing. Whomever asked that above. At least that's my understanding.
