If you thought the lake view shot was from our house no that's from the bar/restaurant in the development.

To get a view like that you're looking at a million dollar + home. Ours is not quite a million.

So we finally made it through the inspection period. Homeowner did not winterize and a pipe burst when we turned on the water. All fixed.

Getting cash back to handle the repair items we found on inspection. Will fix them myself. Closing hopefully on our wedding anniversary 9/9.

conrats, you'll definitely enjoy it. Don't forget to winterize like the last yahoo. When we leave Vermont, we have to make sure we set the temp at 62, keep the cabinet doors open for airflow and turn off the water. We also have to drain most of the water from the system before we go.

At least that happened before you closed!! Though I suppose that's why most realtors like to include home warranties in the deal.

Yeah I need to brush up on winterizing. We most likely will be up there at least one weekend a month in the winter.

Definitely. Would never even consider a home without an inspection. One of our homes was new and we still found issues.

Yup that's what sold us. Kids want a gameroom and I am going to build Murphy beds that look like bookcases when folded up.

Should be able to sleep my extended family there when they come to visit.
