Help me choose my patio stone

My house brick color is a dark red color. Its got a traditional and vintage brick look.

I'm having a walkway and patio build, using tumbled interlocking pavers. I just cant decide the color. My wife wants a gray mix, and I am leaning towards something beige (since gray seems too cold to me).

Thoughts?

Here are my options:

Vintage beige:

Beige Mix:

Gray mix:

My laptop monitor is gone to hell, so I know the colours I'm seeing aren't accurate. So instead of voting for a specific sample, I'll just say that a dark grey might make everything look very dark and drab (as you thought).

Beige Mix, doesn't even seem to be a hard choice either.

How large is the patio and what color is your house? If the house is a dark shade, then on of the beige stones. If the house is pretty light, then the contrast of the grey might actually work well.

Is there even a need to ask?

I'll refrain from the psychoanalysis and state for the record what you should already know. Wifey happy = lifey happy.

If your house is brick, I would go with a brick(flat areas) and granite(steps) combo over any of those choices.

Are those actual stone or colored and formed concrete? I've seen some of the colored concrete pavers actually loose their color after a few years and actually look more like actual gray concrete instead of the original color. One of my neighbors had a beige paver walkway put in about 2.5 years ago and it's now gray. I don't have the heart to ask them about it. They paid big bucks for what they got.

Not gray - it's too dark.

Find something else you'll both like.

Unless you really hate the color, go with what she wants.

Buy a small sample of each and see how it looks against the house. Maybe she will change her mind. Maybe you will too.

The gray actually looks lighter in person than in those photos above. Actually, all the colors do.

I already got some samples, and we are still at a stalemate, although the wife is warming up to the beige mix.

Fibonacci: She already got her way on the design of the walkway, which I was against, so I have acquired some credits

gray would actually be a nice contrast to your house brick.

I'm saving my credits for a fast, rwd, manual, coupe/convertible 3rd car.
