I have been enjoying all of your guys new construction and remodel pics, so I figured it would be wrong if I did not share my own little project we have going on. FYI - one pic was a combo of two scanned pics (was trying to pan across property) - so pic looks ugly scanned - but you get idea)
Just a dirt lot ...
Ugly scanned picture to show basement Forms...
Poured and Framing going up...
front...
back...

I love that layout, really nice. My only knock I guess would be that I usually like the living room connected or open to the dining room, since it makes the space more usable. But I dont see how that can be avoided in your case without ruining something else.

Can see the fireplace now from the living room - looks nice. Sure hated to lose the family room wall, but if I need a bigger space for a Home Theatre - I will finish the basement I guess.

It's sooooo nice not to have to maintain the grass.

Looks like it's going to be sweet when it's done. Must be costing a pretty penny. A lot of the condos and townhouses in Hillsborough that I looked at were really nice though. I really liked the area.

What a difference a week can make!!
Can ya tell we go same time each weekend - and the house faces East - thus the orange UFO in the picture
Front - (arch above front door will be cut out prior to bricking)
Back -
Windows on either side of Gas fireplace will have a half moon (starburst?) over them - will look pretty sharp - will be cut out prior to siding
Rained again late last night - at least there is some protection now tho

the only bad news is- this is exactly how it will look for a couple years cause we will not have the cash on hand to get a patio going with all the trimmings...one thing at a time I guess....we'll get all the outside goodies over time...
I will make a lifesize blowup of JB's backyard pics and lay them out there for the time being
Thanks guys - I will continue to show the progress as I take pics...no matter whose house it is .... 'CAUSE I LOVE CONSTRUCTION PICS!!

Yesterdays pics...was hoping brick to be done, but I have no idea how long it takes to do brick - so I will watch it slowly go up. Lots of inside work getting done (no pics).
Close-up to show brick - color is 'Salem' - pretty sweet.
Back doors and garage doors will be painted to match siding

Almost done bricking...
Well, still not done, but REALLY close to being done now. Front steps put in. Inside they did a ton of stuff - 90% electrical all run, Cable, Phone, Ethernet, alarm - all wired, both Furnaces installed, a lot of duct work in place - amazing how quick this stuff gets done. Any week now the slow down will begin - I am trying to prepare myself for it.
Not too pleased with a handful of the bricks below the window to right of front door and a couple closer to garage. Could not tell up close if they were just dirty or what...I guess it gives it character...either way I have a call into the builder to get his opinion. Never had brick before - hoping it weathers some and blends, plus landscaping will probably be there anyway. I just get annoyed that someone would use defective bricks. Hopefully a good powerwash will cure all.
Nothing changed on the back of the house so no new pics there.

Unfortunately, I'm just starting to save for my down payment....I have a LONG ways to go before I can afford anything. Can't wait to get my first house, though.

Great looking house Tbone, I live about half hour away from there.
You mind telling us the price ranges in that development. My guess is somewhere between 650K - 850K.

So are you in Country Classics, then? Not sure if they are still building there or if they're done. The older (first) part of that neighborhood is really pretty. I moved from HB before they started building on that farm on Hillsborough Rd, near Steeplechase Manor, but drove by a couple times and saw a sign for a new development, is that where you are? So many developments are going up!
