Good book on gardening

just wondering, does anyone know any good books on garden maintenance or do it yourself lanscaping??? im thinking about getting it for my dad's christmas present.

Sunset makes some good books which are specific to the region where you live. We have a copy of the "Northern Landscaping" book. Its 416 pages!

I see you're in socal. If your dad also lives there, they have a Western Landscaping version, etc...

Go to Barnes and Noble (or a local bookstore) and take a look through one of these. They're great books which cover every type of landscape (soft and hard) for your region. I give it

Neil Sperry is the most noted Gardener in TX, and he has some great info.

heck yeah, my dad gave me his book - it's loaded with info for Texas gardeners.
