Counter top convection/toaster oven

Just starting to look into these... What do you guys have ?? Likes, dislikes ??

I'll probably still keep my old 4 slice toaster around, but I'd like to get something to warm/cook smaller things without having to fire up my big electric oven...

Just looking for some suggestions so I can start googling and comparison shop...

We touched apon the subject in a couple of threads here, but I'm looking for specific makes/models...

Well, like I said in my previous post. I like my boring regular toaster oven. I currently have a Sunbeam. It has a timer and temp/toast setting. I use it for all kinds of stuff. I can cook up a hot dog or some pork roll in 5 minutes at 400 deg. I cook frozen pizza in 7-8 minutes at 450. Frozen waffles will cook in 4-5 minutes on the toast setting. For $40 it will run about 5 years, then you toss it and get a new one. Love it.

I have no idea what a table top convection would do for you unless you want something larger and want to cook big meals, but then that's what the regular oven is for.

BTW, reheating real pizza in toaster oven > microwave. I prefer the toaster oven over microwave whenever possible.

My above times are real cooking times. No preheat. Toss the stuff in, set the timer, come back with the bell rings, done.

We have this guy for a stove. We use the small top oven for 90% of what we need to cook and only fire up the big bottom section when we have something larger (like a turkey, roast, etc...).

The top oven can get up to 425 on very little time when compared to the bottom.. works like an oven with the efficiency and "spool up time" of a toaster oven.

The one in the link is the newest version. Ours is about 3 years old. It basically looks/works the same except the newer one is slightly more aerodynamic for some reason...

I'm not really looking for something to cook meals in, just something to rewarm leftovers and cook frozen pizzas...

This is the type of stuff I'm looking at:

These are probably overkill... I can broil in my full size oven if I want too...

Or, like doopstr said, I can buy a cheap sunbeam toaster and leave it at that...

I ended up getting a toaster oven. I like it except that it sucks at making toast (compared to a toaster). The convenction versions seem pretty nice and will cook faster.

I have this one. It rocks, esp since i don't have a stove. My life saver. I got it for 155 about 5 months ago from amazon with a coupon. There is a rebate for it right now.
